The Aruba Fire Department proudly protects 95.000 people living in an area of 193 square kilometers and about 6.000 tourist per day. We operate out of 3 fire stations that protect residential-, high rise area, airport, free zone, seaport and industrial zone. Our department is a public department of professional fire fighters and we count also with some volunteers. The Fire chief has been designated the disaster commander's role, so that during any non police disaster, he is responsible for command and coordination of responses. Our department has seven engines, two tankers, two rescue unit, one ambulance, one high lift vehicle. As mention before we are structural and airport and marine Firefighters.
